Eighty years, when George R. Webster became the first president of the California State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the newly created firm, the group had a membership roster of only 36 people.

At the first meeting, the young organization has not had the bulk of capital or income and has only 13 participants. The fact that Webster himself was a CPA Minnesota, California, without a certificate was not even a problem. There was no reciprocal rights science at the time.

Webster and society on the other founding fathers certainly had a modest beginning in a position today. However, the eight decades following an explosive growth in the profession of auditor and a snowstorm of complex issues - has, furthermore, that someone who wild imagination.

If the profession and society were private companies, their phenomenal growth, in tandem, compared to many successful start-ups in Silicon Valley. If Webster were to life now, no doubt, he and his slide rule would be overwhelmed trying to calculate the electric all the changes since 1909.

Just think of these comparisons with the past:

* Today, the California Society of CPA is one of the largest organizations in their public nature of the nation, with some 27000 members. “Over the years the company has been a bastion of defence and pride for the job - and not just in California but also for the entire nation,” says John Norberg, society, was president in 1954 — 55. “Of course I have, since the mandate for a long period, but it was a pleasure to see them grow, their strength and grow in areas most innovative,” he adds.
